Ping refers to the latency between Fortnite server and client.
Enable a simple setting to show your ping.
Your ping can be useful, so I recommend you turn it on.
Fortnite can sometimes change the setting location, making it more difficult to find.
What you should do to display your Ping in Fortnite starting with Chapter 2?
- By pressing escape on your keyboard, or the start button on the controller, you can open the Fortnite menu .
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu
- Click the Game UI icon. It is the third icon that appears. It looks like a rectangle with some lines and a triangle.
- Turn Net Deb Stats On from the available options
Your ping will now be displayed in the top left corner of your screen while playing Fortnite. It will also appear next to your player name.
Other useful stats like your download speed and upload speed as well as packet loss will be displayed. You can also track your connection while you are playing.
You can adjust the HUD Scale in your Game UI settings to make sure the text is not too big or distracting.
As you can see, my ping is 0. This means I don’t have any network delay, so editing and building feels effortless.
You must get your ping down as low as you can. This will give you an advantage in Fortnite and improve your experience.
